About 8 miles into today’s hike, I reached Burney Falls State Park. It was a short side hike to see the falls. The lady who gave me a ride said that Theodore Roosevelt once said the falls were like the 8 great wonders of the world.
Around 2 am I woke up suddenly. As I was falling back to sleep, I heard the sound of something skittering across my sleeping pad.
I woke up to one of the clearest mornings in Washington. It was beautiful. Tim and Denise were up around the same time. As I was about to hit the trail, Tim gave me some of his extra snacks including Snickers, beef jerky, cheese sticks and some trail mix.
