I am writing this on Tuesday afternoon. Monday was the first day of classes. I woke up at 6:30 and got ready to ride to class. After a simple breakfast of cereal, I hit the road. The ride was about 3 miles long and about halfway there I realized that that I left my bike lock on my bike back at the house. Which meant I went from getting there early to being barely on time to my first class. I am definitely not acclimated to the Texas weather and I arrived very sweaty, but found the class on time.
Today, I had a Classical Mythology, Physics, and Materials and Methods. It was nice, my classes were over by noon. So far, all my professors are pretty great. Physics is going to take a lot of work, but I think it will be okay.
After finishing classes, I went to the barber and got a haircut. It was felt good to have a fresh cut.
Back at the house I worked on homework until I got a call from my Dad, and he let me know that Sunny had passed on. After that, I was not able to concentrate and I spent the evening on the back porch, reflecting and thinking.
So not exactly how I saw starting my college career. But all in all, it has been an incredible summer. I want to thank everyone who has followed along and supported my adventure. Together we were able to raise over $4,000.00 for the Comfort Dog Ministry! This summer would not have been the same without you guys. If you would still like to make a donation, please click here.
Special thanks to my sister Bonnie, Riley and Dad as they were the behind the scenes, posting my daily blogs and updating the website. The blogs would not been possible without them.
This is my last planned blog for now, I look forward to the next adventure and hope to it share with you.
